About
the Company
From
its inception, Christian Credit Counseling Service has focused on
the needs of its clients.
As
the pastor of Open Door Christian Church in Novato, California,
Harold L. Hendricks realized that finances were a key problem for
members of his congregation. Pastor Hendricks was always very successful
with Budget Counseling, but he continually came up against a "brick
wall" in regards to Debt Recovery because there was no credit
counseling business that would handle the process as a spiritual
matter or allow tithing as a part of the answer.
As
a result, Harold founded Christian Credit Counseling Service in
1991. In 1992, it became a division of the non-profit, religious
corporation Christian Asset Resource Educational Services (CARES).
The second division of CARES - CARES Recovery - was established
in 1994.
In
June, 1993, Harold relocated Christian Credit Counseling Service
to establish a centrally located National/International Headerquarters
in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
